Scott Hall hospitalized

Scott Hall has reportedly sought help over personal issues. Over the weekend, the wrestler known in the ring as Razor Ramon was working a Top Rope Wrestling show in Massachusetts. While the details on what exactly happened are not clear, it is believed that Hall, who has battled alcoholism and drug addiction, fell off the wagon. Rumors of an overdose proved to be false. He reportedly showed up "not ready to perform," and he was carried out to the ring.

Tuesday, Hall tweeted a message that sounds much more like a publicist's statement. "At the hospital in New England! Doing good. Thanks for all your well wishes and support..."

Friend Shawn Michaels took to his own social networking site on Sunday, posting that Hall was going through a "private matter" and "he is getting help." Michaels also went on to add: "All of us want the best 4him." Another friend and Kliq member Kevin Nash stated on his Twitter account that he will have an active role in Hall's recovery. Hall's message read: "I'll be at the airport when he lands and taking him to my home when he lands."

Nash also went on to defend Hall, in typical Diesel fashion: "To the motherf----- that made a joke who would want his kidney lol send me your address and let's see how funny it is. He's my brother and we'll get through this."

Here is hoping Hall will have a rested stay where ever he is and is able to overcome his demons.

JBL VS Shawn Micheals: If The heartbreak kid wins he will earn all the money that was promised to him but if Shawn loses Bradshaw will own the rights to Shawns name.

Rand Orton VS Shane McMahon (No Holds Barred Match): Shane will now get his revenge on Orton in a no rule grudge match after what randy done to shanes father Vince.

Smackdown's Elimination chamber: Triple H will be locked inside the demonic structure with the Big Show, The Undertaker, Edge, Jeff Hardy and an oppent still to be named.

Raw's Elimination Chamber: 'Y2J' Chris Jericho will be surrounded by steel and facing Kane, Mike Knox, John Cena, Kofi Kingston and the high Flying Rey Mysterio

The Miz and John Morrison NEED to Beat DX!

OK the title of this blog sounds like a title on a copy of Pro Wrestling Illustrated from the 80's, but it is a true statement. Am I the only one that has noticed how the Miz and John Morrison have slowly crept in and become the most entertaining act in WWE? It started when they started "The Dirt Sheet," for those of you who don't know, that's the name of their web show on WWE.com. Basically the show comes off like a show that Miz and Morrison put together themselves, and got attention because it's actually FUNNY, unlike every other pathetic attempt at humor WWE tries. So The Dirt Sheet got so much attention on the net, it's now mentioned on TV and even done live on ECW. Miz and Morrison are over the top of course, with their delivery, and no doubt their presentation, such as Morrison putting diamonds to his abs, which looks damn ridiculous, but I think that's the point. So now that the team has made waves for about a year now, the next step is for them to come up to the next level, and that chance will be at this Monday's big 3 hour RAW. The angle started last week or so, with Miz and Morrison calling out DX about their 80th "DX reunion," and claiming they were a better team than DX of course. Then last night on ECW, Miz and Morrison brought out DX imitators, and sadly, the imitation, and the things Miz and Morrison said about DX, were pretty much all true. DX was created in 97, a group of rebel heels who got over because they made fun of everyone and everything, and showed no respect. Well it's now 2008, and DX is now a watered down group of 2, that sells merchandise, and brings out glow sticks, yes GLOW STICKS. DX used to break every rule in the book, and we watched them because we couldn't wait to see how far they'd cross the line next. Now, DX repeats the same catch phrases, puts t-shirts and hats on to show they're in "DX Mode" as opposed to just being Triple H and Shawn Michaels like usual, and they reunite approximately 4 times a year so WWE can push it as the biggest and ONLY reunion of DX.....1 night only....right WWE?

Well the new degenerates are here, and they are the Miz and John Morrison. Even in this era of crappy WWE, where its TV-PG, nothing raunchy or even semi adult is allowed, Miz and Morrison have found ways to entertain, and to break out of the boring mold the WWE and it's writers has everyone else trapped in. So the point is, the match is upon us, tired repetitive DX, vs. the new generation degenerates, the Miz and John Morrison, and while it's most likely that DX will just steamroll Miz and Morrison, pose for the fans, and be "cool" as usual, the time is now to elevate Miz and Morrison, and they need to shock the "WWE Universe" by beating DX in the center of the ring, and proclaiming the new 2 words they have for DX and everyone else....BE JEALOUS! Why do I think it won't happen? Probably because this angle has 2 weeks of build up, and after it's over....Triple H goes back to his CAPTIVATING feud with Vladimir Kozlov on Smackdown, and Michaels goes back to his "HOT, NEW ::cough::" with JBL. And sadly, Miz and Morrison will keep entertaining us quietly, on ECW, and maybe a RAW appearance here and there, as history is made once again, with another great thing gets totally screwed by the WWE that has no grasp on what's wrong with their company.

RAW Recap: 07/28/08

Here's just a short rundown of what happened at last night's Monday Night RAW:

RAW has been kicking ass lately. The plots have been thicker, the writing better, and the action more over the top. Guys like Kofi Kingston and occasionally the now solo Paul London have been adding that high flying attitude that RAW has been missing leading up to the draft. Rey Mysterio should be in there somewhere, but we've seen him like... what now? Twice?

This Santino/Beth Phoenix lovers angle is hilarious. I haven't laughed that hard at WWE in a LONG time. Santino is the acclimate performer right now. He's skilled in the ring, but at the same time great on the mic and had excellent comedic timing. He's always funny, but last night, with Beth Phoenix, I was almost to tears I was laughing so hard.

Michael Cole got his ass kicked. It was supposed to be Jerry Lawler and Hacksaw Jim Duggan against the World Tag Team Champs, with the straps on the line, but at the last minute a referee ran in with a note from the new GM that replaced Hacksaw with Michael Cole. King got taken out of the match, and Michael Cole got clobbered by Cody Rhodes. So Michael Cole was out for the rest of the show, and that's always good. Though they did bring out Mike Adamle to fill in, and that's always bad. Mike Adamle is a moron.

Earlier in the night Shane McMahon said we would see CM Punk squaring off against one of the most technical free agents in the business, and that turned out to be William Regal making his return, in a weird singlet. Though no mention of him being KOTR and only a quick mention of him being GM before. Punk won, but not before William Regal broke his nose accidentally. Cheers to Regal!

Mickie James won against the ugly blond who sings a lot. I can't remember her name, because this is usually when I go take my evening #2. Katie Lea jumped Mickie at the end though, and demanded a shot at Summerslam.

Out next was Jericho for the Final Highlight Reel. Jericho played a couple of his old funny clips, and said the true career he ended was not HBK... it was Y2J. Jericho said we could all say goodbye to Y2J and the old Chris Jericho. He demanded a shot at CM Punk's title, and told Shawn Michaels to stay home and get some rest.

JR is now coming to ringside, and he says "I don't know why I'm here, I should be on my way to Hershey, Pennsylvania for Smackdown. I was told to be here." King and Adamle don't know either. Mike Adamle keeps insisting he was told to be there too, and it's obvious he would have to replace Michael Cole.

Promo airs saying Shawn Michaels will be live via satellite next week. WWE jumping the shark yet again.

At this point, I was expecting we're gonna get a good Summerslam WHT match. You have 6 guys wanting it. CM Punk has it, Batista, Cena, Kane, JBL, and now Jericho all wants shots. The HITC is already going to be hanging over the ring at Summerslam, so they can't do an Elimination Chamber, so I think they might do a 6-man HITC.

Boy was I wrong.

Big mainevent, Cena and Batista beat JBL and Kane in a tag team match. I bet those guys were tired since they practically had the same match, a couple hours earlier when they pretaped the SNME show.

It's 11:15 and here comes Shane McMahon to introduce the new RAW GM. I'm hoping and praying for Bischoff................... but no.

On camera we didn't see who got up and climbed in to the ring, but as Shane McMahon looked to the back to introduce the GM, we all waited, and when no one came out, Shane turned to the ring and said "Your new RAW General Manager is..." the camera pans to the ring to see who's standing behind Cena and Batista.... "MIKE ADAMLE!"

WHAT?!

MIKE ADAMLE?!

WHAT?!

Cena and Batista look legitimately shocked, with Cena even laughing at one point and saying "is this a joke?" I wish it was a joke... but no... it looks like Mike Adamle is the new RAW GM.

.... and just when RAW was getting so good.

Can Shawn Michaels and Batista Be the Best WWE Feud in Years?

Coming off the HUGE Wrestlemania 24 week, and probably the single best moment on RAW ever with Ric Flair's retirement ceremony, WWE has a much needed shot in the arm, that will maybe at least temporarily bring back some interest in WWE, which has failed miserably in the past year at least in my eyes, besides a few bright points. The Ric Flair Hall of Fame induction was great, his match at Wrestlemania with Shawn Michaels was great, and the RAW ceremony was top notch....but that leaves 1 big problem, Ric Flair is now gone, and him being gone takes away a top level wrestler, and maybe the most interesting storyline WWE had going, which was Flairs "Career threatening match" angle. One thing that caught my interest, for NO real reason, but it just caught my attention, was on RAW when Michaels was walking backstage, and looked over his shoulder, to see Batista staring him down. Now HBK has been pretty bland for quite awhile now, and Batista has been very boring as well in my eyes, up to his meaningless match with Umaga at Mania. But something ignited in the few seconds where Batista gave a cold stare to Michaels. Maybe it was the fact that it was a real STORY, and a GOOD story. Batista considers Flair a mentor, much like Michaels, and is in SHOCK that Michaels could be the guy to end Flair's career...makes perfect sense. Then during the ceremony, Michaels comes out, and we get just a SMALL little hint as the camera pans to Batista, who's in the ring, once again staring down Michaels JUST for a brief second before the camera pans away, but it's all just subtle hints, rather than the HORRIBLY TIRED method of "Wrestle A goes to ring, Wrestler B comes out, a challenge is made, and a match is set for "X" event."

Then tonight on Smackdown, the feud was set in motion, as HBK came out to do another sad interview about Flair.....until Batista's music hit, and he hit the ring with a purpose. Now in the Evolution days, I think Batista was a bad son of a bitch, and tonight, that was the Batista I saw once again. When he turned into the guy that was more about shooting guns during his entrance, and pumping up the crowd, he lost his purpose in my eyes. But tonight, we saw the Evolution Batista, who looked like he wanted to kill someone, and was sporting a sleeveless black shirt, which suited his gimmick and personality a LOT better than his suit look, went face to face with Batista, who was sporting some sort of sport coat over a tank top look....hmm, these 2 looked about as opposite as it gets. Anyway, Batista cut the most believable and realistic interview he's ever done....pointing out that all Michaels had to do was lay down, this ONE time, and Flair would still be here, but Michaels ego got in the way. And in a WELCOME return of REALITY to WWE, Michaels claimed that "he had a job to do, I did it".....then Batista shot back with "You had a job to do, and you DIDN'T do it......because you don't do "jobs." Wow, a shoot reference on WWE TV, its been years. Just kind of one of those things, if you're in the know, then cool, you get it, and gives the angle a LOT of heat when they walk the line of reality by throwing a term like that in. Batista really made HBK come off as an asshole who could have kept Flair in wrestling. It's a great story that fans can take in, then choose their own path as to who's side their on. No need to have a forced "good guy" and "bad guy" here. Just simply, do you agree with Batista? That Michaels could have laid down ONE time to save Flair, or do you agree with Michaels, that he did what Flair wanted, plain and simple. The other factor here is that I don't recall a Michaels-Batista program ever....which is a rarity, in today's wrestling where every guy has feuded with every other guy at LEAST once, and they've had at least 4-5 PPV matches.

I'm going to enjoy following this feud, as it takes me back to the good 'ol days of STORIES driving wrestling. Guys feuding over a specific incident or reason, not just a guy hating another because he has a belt. I think belts are great, they really drive the competition aspect of wrestling, but the stories have a huge place as well, and I think this feud will catapult both guys out of their stagnant phase, and will hopefully deliver a story that will give us tons of entertainment, and I believe Shawn Michaels can pull some great matches out Batista, and improve his skills greatly. Two thumbs up to WWE for the entire past weeks events, I'm enjoying the product for the time being, and look forward to having a renewed interest in both Shawn Michaels and Batista!

HBK & Vince Have Major Altercation

Vince McMahon has a history of singling people out backstage and embarrassing them in front of other wrestlers. Last Monday when Shawn Michaels was the target of Vince's juvenile behavior, it blew up in Vince's face and left even Stephanie McMahon speechless.

Despite the fact that Shawn Michaels returned to WWE a month ahead of schedule, he still has heat with Vince. Shawn made it clear before he returned that he wants more control over his schedule. He won't be doing any overseas tours and will work a somewhat reduced schedule so he can spend more time with his family.

When Shawn showed up to RAW last Monday for the first time since his injury, Vince started "chewing him out" in front of the lockerroom. He made fun of Shawn's attitude and his clothing, among other things. To the surprise of everybody, HBK fired back at Vince and put him in his place. Shawn made it very clear to Vince in front of everybody that he won't be disrespected by anybody or treated like a rookie.

The wrestlers were shocked that somebody finally stood up to one of Vince's tirades. According to our source, nobody was more shocked than Stephanie McMahon. Witnesses were reportedly amused that Shawn humbled Vince in front of everybody. The McMahon's are not necessarily disliked by the roster but this definitely brought Vince down off his high horse.

Shawn and Vince have had a volatile relationship for well over a decade. There is no indication that this incident will have any ramifications on Shawn's WWE status.

WWE: New Hart Foundation targets HBK?

It’s been well known to all fans (at least those who keep up on wrestling gossip) that the WWE plans to debut a new Hart Foundation in the WWE, most likely on the Smackdown brand. The group would consist of Harry Smith, T.J. Wilson, Teddy Hart and Ted DiBiase Jr. The news breaking out today is that this group may get Uncle Bret’s revenge on ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ Shawn Michaels, 10 years after the infamous Montreal Screwjob.

It’s being reported now that the current plan is for them to start up around November, as they’re booked for the November 6th taping of Smackdown. The talk right now is for them to make their pay per view debut at Survivor Series and attack Shawn Michaels. However, there’s a chance of it not happening as well due to lack of experience and Teddy Hart’s immaturity issues.

Of course, another issue to think about is that right now, they are currently booked for the Smackdown brand and Shawn Michaels is on the RAW brand. Anything can happen from now until then, such as the Smackdown taping appearance being canceled and of course, HBK being moved over to Smackdown right before or even sometime after this Survivor Series attack takes place. Personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing this all happen (except I wouldn't want HBK on the Smackdown brand) but in my opinion it should be done sometime down the road when the group does have more experience. It makes sense for the Hart Foundation to want to attack HBK, probably makes more sense than any other storyline WWE could do due to the real life issues but unless both sides are completely for it and are mature about it, as well as having all the Hart Foundation members actually being READY for it, I don’t want it to take place. Perhaps what they should do is debut on Smackdown and always talk about a “mission” they need to accomplish and how they need to work hard on Smackdown in order to get to that mission. Of course, that would be, get drafted over to Raw eventually and THEN take the opportunity to seek out revenge. That is, however, just my opinion of this rumor.

Cyber Sunday Mainevent Changed!

The original main event for Cyber Sunday was scheduled to be John Cena vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Championshpi with fans deciding the stipulation: Hell In A Cell, No-DQ or Falls Count Anywhere. After Cena's injury, WWE announced that Triple H would replace Cena and challenge Orton. That match has been scrapped and there is a NEW main event.

WWE fans have the chance to decide who Randy Orton will defend his newly won title against. The choices are Shawn Michaels, Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy and Mr. Kennedy.

WWE Cyber Sunday takes place Sunday night October 28th from Washington, D.C.

Is John Cena Injured? Will Orton be the next Champ? What about Jericho?

It certainly seems that way, after Cena began favoring his right arm last night during his match with Mr. Kennedy. WWE is proceeding this morning as if WWE Champion John Cena does indeed have a torn right pectoral muscle that he suffered during his match last night on RAW against the returning Ken Kennedy. Cena is scheduled to meet with Dr. James Andrews today in Birmingham, Alabama for a full medical checkup to determine the exact severity of the injury. WWE will adjust the No Mercy PPV depending on his medical status.

There is a lot of concern inside the WWE locker room as if his pectoral muscle is indeed torn; normal rehabilitation time is four months. Cena is considered one of the top guys in the company and a severe injury such as this is a huge blow to WWE. For those that do not remember, Edge suffered a torn left pectoral muscle back in July and that is why he has been out of action.

So what does that mean for RAW and the WWE Championship? If Cena is indeed injured, there's no doubt he'll fight through the pain and wrestle on Sunday anyway - however, it almost seems a sure thing we'll be seeing a new Champion walk out of No Mercy!


Speaking of No Mercy, another of the now infamous viral videos aired last night, only this time they pointed almost definitely at Shawn Michaels. The video, entitled 8.2.11/Savior_Self, had many clues pointing not at Jericho last week, but rather at Shawn Michaels. The clue most convincing for everyone is that 8, 2, and 11 are the alphanumeric versions of H, B, and K. With No Mercy this weekend, the only sure thing is that we don't have to wait much longer to find out.

WWE: Ric Flair says he's still an employee, never left, and wants to retire in a year!

Ric Flair didn't say he's back with World Wrestling Entertainment.

According to the 16-time World Heavyweight Champion, he never left.

On Saturday, Flair was at Dover International Speedway as a guest of Roadloans.com, the title sponsor for the day's NASCAR Busch Series race.

During a press conference, Flair announced that he is working a limited schedule with WWE, and never gave notice that he was leaving the company.

"Those reports were totally incorrect," said Flair.

But curiously, the press release from the track that preceded Flair's appearances described him as "currently retired" from the wrestling business.

Flair spoke in glowing terms about WWE, noting that Chairman Vince McMahon could run NASCAR if he had a month to get up to speed. Those comments stand in stark contrast to Internet rumors that he was leaving the company due to dissatisfaction with the storylines he's been offered.

Flair did say that he plans to retire from wrestling within the next year, as he wants to spend more time with his family, including playing with his kids.

"I have a new, beautiful young wife. She's very rewarding. I like playing with her, too," Flair said of wife Tiffany, who was sitting 20 feet away. Flair's quip was one of many that had the media in stitches.

Fans hope Flair's WWE work can be similarly entertaining as he winds up his career. But Flair added that he has been given no assurances about creative direction.

"They don't do that," Flair said of WWE. "And I wouldn't expect them to. I've earned the right to retire on my own terms, but I don't see myself as bigger than the WWE. If it works into a storyline that works with the program, then I'm happy with it. If not, we just walk away one day and say goodbye."

That said, Flair has an idea of how he would like things to go.

"If I could write that script, I would just say that I would be in a marquee position...I would like to wrestle a marquee guy, a big name, in my last match," Flair said. "Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, John Cena...I would love to wrestle in a marquee position in a marquee match and just have my finest hour."
