R.I.P. Dr. Death Steve Williams

Dr. Death Steve Williams died today, no details on the how or why as of yet. But, like most, I am assuming heart attack. You may remember him from his time in WWE when Jim Ross went crazy and turned heel and managed him for awhile.

**Note**  Our Writer Random Villain was not aware of Dr. Death's battle with throat cancer for the past few years.  Doc battled and beat cancer once, and even continued wrestling even though he needed a device to talk.  Sadly the cancer recently returned, and Doc lost the battle this time, but will be admired for his good spirits and hard fought battle right to the end.  At the bottom of this post, we've linked to Steve Williams book, which Steve Williams himself documents his wrestling career and battle with cancer.  RIP to a true legend here in the U.S., and worldwide.

Tommy Dreamer - The Legend will live on in name only.

On the December 29th edition of ECW on SYFY,Thomas James Laughlin, aka, Tommy Dreamer wrestled his final match, in a losing effort to Zach Ryder. This came as a shock to me and I'm sure many others who have followed Dreamer's career from up and comer in the old Bingo Hall, later bestoyed the ECW arena, to recieving the moniker "The innovator of violence" to a roller coaster couple of years in WWE.

Now this is just me, but without Tommy Dreamer in ECW, those letters may as well go back to Eastern Championship Wrestling because without the "heart and soul of ECW", you have nothing and no one that represents what those letters really stand for. All you have now is either wrestlers who are on WWE's radar for past mistakes (Christian, William Regal), wrestlers who aren't good enough to carry themselves just yet on the bigger shows, (Vladimir Koslov, Ezekiel Jackson, Zach Ryder), or wrestlers who are trying to make a name for themselves to move on up the ladder of WWE(Yoshi Tatsu, Vance Archer). On occasion, they have an Extreme rules match to commemorate what ECW used to be, but even then, its nothing like the original.

Rumors have been flying around that ECW is going to get cut from SYFY's timeslot for weak ratings(0.9-1.2) so maybe its a blessing in disguise as I'm sure Tommy knew if it does happen, he would be receiving a "best wishes in future endeavors" on WWE.com and a space in WWE's alumni page.

Let me say, that if Tommy does decide to go to TNA, ROH, New Japan, All Japan, even AAA, I do wish him luck in future endeavors because even if he's past his prime and his body is, I'm sure, giving up on him, he should be remembered for more then just being the "heart and soul of ECW" but a legend and innovator that started a revolution of the hardcore sense, because HE'S HARDCORE!!!

If You Are A Wrestling Fan. Then You WILL Watch TNA On January 4th.

Listen, this is very simple. If you care about wrestling in any way at all, then you will tune in and watch Impact on January 4th. Yeah Bret Hart coming back is cool, but you can record that, watch it later. Give TNA the ratings it needs, or we are all doomed. What do I mean? I mean the crap that you saw this past Monday night on Raw, with Johnny Damon, Gay Sgt. Slaughter, Little Peoples Court, and that Tiger crap, is what our wrestling future holds. TNA fails on the 4th, WWE will do nothing but air complete garbage all the time, because it can.

So it's up to you. Watch the Wolfpac reunion and see what Hogan and Bischoff have up their sleeves? Or, watch HBK run around like an idiot for the millionth time? You choose.

Live WWE Raw Review 12-21-09

Yeah, I'm back. So for those not in the know, this is how this Live Raw Review thing works. I don't sit here and talk about each and every thing that happens on Raw. I simply just post out my thoughts, reactions, and comments, as I watch Raw. Which means there will probably be a few typos and all kinds of shit cause Im looking at the TV more than the screen. So let's do this...

Alright, so, Johnny Damon should never hold a microphone ever again in his life... What... the.... fuck? A tiger, and some lady chasing him with a golf club... what in the hell does this have to do with anything? Uh ok, this is officially the worst intro to Raw in the history of Monday nights, the only thing that could make this any worse is a diva match.

Spoke too soon....

What the hell happened to the days of Lita and Trish? Divas with actual talent. Oh yay Kelly Kellys team wins weee......

Oh good Santa Claus is gonna grant a wish!! Will it be a gun?! Im sure Ill need one during this court segment thats up next.

My god, Lawler gets more and more annoying as each Monday passes by.

So yeah, Bret Hart is coming on January 4th, but what is he going to do? Confront HBK who has turned into a retarded sidekick? Oh lord, here we go. Empty arena, probably because a riot would have broken out during this crap. If I was 6 years old, I might find this a little amusing. Oh good, DX plugs, cause that isn't old. Oh I get it, Bret is going to call out HBK on the 4th, and HBK will tell him to go to wweshop.com. A little.... jury.... I wanna put my head through a wall. Oh good fuck.....

Here comes Randy Orton to glare at everyone and do, nothing meaningful. Alright! Ted DiBiase! Let's check out his acting skills in The Marine 2!Alright! Kofi Kingston! SOS A SHORTAY! Does Evan Bourne ever stop acting excited? Uh oh, his team just won, time to look like an idiot Evan Bourne! Good job!

Ugh, good god, Slaughter dressed as Santa.... and he wants to make out with Johnny Damon. What in the hell am I watching? I don't want to finish watching this, but I must press on....

Oh damnit all more little peoples court. HBK is the most retarded person on the planet. I take that back, if I was 6 years old I would have went and read a book or something instead of watch this. This is Saturday morning special quality stuff here.

Oh John Cena vs Swagger gee I wonder who is gonna win!?!!?!!? OH MY CENA WINS NO WAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dusty Claus has a yellow dot on his suit, nice.

"Sounds like a home run idea to me." I have no reaction to this.

Carlito vs Masters, again, for the 30th time. Uh oh Masters got a kiss now his pecs are goin nuts!

What the hell is with this tiger suit guy? Oh no who is gonna be in the Santa suit this time?! But.... by living in the North Pole... does Santa still have to pay his taxes?!?! YES! THE MIZ IS A TAX CHEAT!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alright what in the hell is this shit with the lady and the tiger? What in the blue hell does that have to do with ANYTHING? Yes, I know theyre doing some stupid Tiger Woods spoof shit, but like I said, what does it have to do with anything? God I wanna be in a WWE creative meeting just once to sit and listen to the shit that they come up with that DOESNT make it on the air. Oh good Mae Young is making out with Johnny Damon. Why????????????????????????????????????

Sheamus needs to kill a seal or something. Ive seen dark match jobbers get a bigger reaction. Alright, Sheamus wins. Boring. UH OH JOHN CENA WANTS HIS REMATCH RIGHT, NOW! WOAH!!!!!! Don't worry Cena, you'll get your rematch, and your title back, at the next PPV. Why? Because that's what happens every time.

Oh sorry my bad, Cena will get it back, NEXT WEEK! ON RAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Santino Claus! The reaction The Miz has to Santino Claus has been my reaction to Raw the entire night.

UH OH BIG SHOW IS CALLING OUT THE REAL SANTA! HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!!! HE WANTS HIS CHRISTMAS WISH!! And here comes Santa..... Santa sounds like Stewie Griffin. BOOOOOOO NO SANTA BIG SHOW HASN'T BEEN A GOOD BOY HE'S A LIAR!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, so, Jerichos back on raw next week!!!!!!!!! OH NO ITS JERICHO CLAUS!!!!!!!!!! OH HO HO HO HO!!!!!!!!!! I MEAN. HA HA HAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! I bet DX won't come out and beat them up now! OH NO MIDGET DX ARMY!!!! Jericho dressed as Santa.... Midget DX army.... this is real. Sweet Shin Music! Damn looks like I lost my bet! DX showed up! Uh oh!! Hijinks are sure to ensue now! Oh yay HBK loves Hornswoggle now! Uh, Hornswoggle can talk now? And say SUCK IT?! Well its not as bad as Kanes SUCK IT, but wtf. Thank god this is over.

Monsters; Why doesn't it work?

On December 4, 2009, the wrestling world lost another big man in Eddie Fatu, better known as Umaga. God rest his soul. He will be missed.

With that being said, Umaga was just another man-monster who lost his grip over the wrestling, in his case, WWE. A mistake management made. That mistake being, Umaga talked. And I know that his release had nothing to do with fans not getting behind him but a wellness policy violation, but that's off topic.

"The Samoan Bulldozer" was is one in a list of men who lost there sizzle because of mistakes like this. That mistake being. They became normal and spoke. Now if I may go in depth on this topic I have chosen and break down three wrestlers who, because of this, weren't all that intimidating at the end. Let me just say now, some of you won't agree with the last guy, but I think he fits in perfectly.

First off, Kane. Kane seemed invincible when he first arrived in WWF back in 1997, even with loses to The Undertaker. For goodness sakes, he was set on fire(his arm was at Unforgiven 1998) and he still kept going the next night on Raw. The downward spiral began when he Chyna started working together, then again, when he and Tori began working together, allowing superstars like Sean"Xpac" Waltman to defeat him. Soon there after, he began talking, which in turn, made him even more human. While WWE fixed it ever so slightly by having him remove the mask in a Mask vs Championship match vs Triple H on Raw(June 23, 2003), he soon after lost that intimidation again. Now, he loses to Rey Mysterio(no offense to him but c'mon!).

Now, The Great Khali. While nobody will ever mistake him as a great technician, when he arrived, he was a scary man. For lack of a better term, he was indestructible, and for a while, he was undefeated. A few years later and a few shows later, The Great Khali turned face and began talking, or trying to talk in English, when his infatuation over Santina Marella started. "Your sister is hot!" really stuck in my head. That was also around the time The Khali Kisscam started. That speaks for itself.

Finally, the manthat, in my opinion. fits perfectly in this, Brock Lesnar. Brock Lesnar made an immediate impact in WWE the night after Wrestlemania XVIII(18) when he destroyed Buh Buh Ray, Spike, Maven, Al Snow, and soon after, The Hardy Boyz. This mean streak would have him stay undefeated, winning the WWE Undisputed Championship from The Rock at Summerslam, and defeating The Undertaker in a classic Hell in a Cell match at No Mercy, 2002. A month later, Lesnar would lose the WWE championship to The Big show at Survivor Series. But what had he started doing not long before this match? Talking. Cutting promos. Once he became a normal dude with superhuman strength, he would go on to tap out, to two different men (Kurt Angle at Summerslam, 2003, and Chris Benoit at Survivor Series, 2003.)

He lost his aura. They all did and it was because the fans sympathized with them because they weren't monsters anymore. Its easier to sympathize with a regular guy then it is a monster. Thats why people die in horror movies. Nobody wants to see the monsters talk out there differences, whether it be in movies or in the ring. I know I wouldn't.

The Monday Night War, part two!

Recently, Hulk Hogan shocked the wrestling world by saying that he and TNA were going head to head with WWE. They’re going to hold a 3 hour live show to match with WWE Raw. Same night, same hour. This is the same thing Eric Bischoff did with WCW back in the 90’s. Do they really think its going to work this time around?

Now, this may be just me, but the difference between the Monday night Wars of yesteryear and the more the likely rebirth of this war is this. When WCW did it, they had talent that was still in the prime of their careers, at least for the most part. They had the NWO, led by Hogan, Nash, and Hall. They had Bill Goldberg, Diamond Dallas Page, Bret Hart, and let us not forget the Cruiserweight division.

TNA, on the other hand, has an aging Kurt Angle, aging Mick Foley, as well as a hand full more of aging talent. There storylines are similar to ones that have been seen in wrestling for years, but we can’t blame them for that, as WWE has done the same thing. The only thing they have going for them is the X division which is something WWE lacks tremendously. And while WWE is trying to catch up, I will say, TNA’s knockout division is far superior then WWE’s divas, but again, WWE is trying catching up.

I think it’s ridiculous that TNA wants to go head to head with WWE for a huge reason; the ratings. I understand that ratings are an essential part of wrestling today. That being said, TNA’s rating are nowhere near where they should be, at least to have the gull to challenge WWE. Their ratings are around the 1.0-1.5 while WWE’s flagship show, Raw has hit the 4.0 mark on occasion. TNA Impact has been on course with WWE’s third brand, ECW, which is not a good thing.

I say it’s not a good thing for the simple fact that ECW has become something of a breeding ground for new WWE talent, and at only an hour, is tying TNA’s two hour show, which has huge names in the card. Names like Kurt Angle and AJ Styles.

So let me ask again. Does TNA management really think it can go head to head with WWE and Raw? Personally, I don’t think so. With the exception of AJ Styles, all the other men that have held the TNA world title in recent memory have had bigger success in WWE. Styles is the homegrown boy and no offense to him, he’s great, but, he’s nowhere near as popular, or well known as John Cena, Randy Orton, or Triple H.

So to top this off, Do I think TNA is ready? No. I don’t. Do I think it will, or it should start a rating’s war? Yes, but that’s just as a wrestling fan. Everybody will tell you that wrestling in the 90’s was the greatest thing going and it was because companies were “pushing the envelope” to beat one another. I would love to see that again, but I don’t think TNA is ready for that just yet. I’ll be open minded and say that maybe in two years, it can go one on one with the great one, to steal from The Rock..or Dwayne Johnson. Sorry.

Hulk Hogan's Press Conference on Signing with TNA Video

Here is the video of the historic press conference that took place at Madison Square Garden yesterday that announced the signing of Hulk Hogan to TNA Wrestling. This story has the wrestling world lit up with opinions and interest, both good and bad. From what we see, Hulk Hogan makes TNA look like a big time wrestling company that can bring in the top talent, and they're getting more recognition than ever for it. There are going to be tons more information on this for months to come, but for now, here is the video that will go down as what started it all, direct from the "house Hogan built."

TNA Lockdown Thoughts

Last night, I attended the TNA Lockdown Pay-Per-View at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia. It was the first ever TNA pay-per-view in Philly and they had a nice crowd. There were some nice suprises and some moments that were just ghastly. Below are my thoughts.

The dark match between Eric Young and Danni Bonnaduci was horrible. Danny had trouble bumping and the whole match lasted about six minutes. I wish I had gotten to the arena at 7:59 rather than at 7.

The X division championship was probably the second best match of the night in my opionion. Actually it was prob. better than I originally thought because I found out Christopher Daniels wrestled as Suicide because Kaz didn't return when he was supposed to. There were some really nice spots in this match especially involving Black Machismo and Consequences Creed. The finish was expected but overall, not a bad match.

The Queen of the Cage Match wasn't good. ODB got a great pop (along with Cody Deaner) and worked fairly well. Other than that, the match was a throwaway.

Unfornuately, due to me losing a bet to my friend Christian causing me to have to buy him a drink, I missed most of the Motor City Machine Guns match. Sorry.

Matt Morgan vs. Abyss...Enough said about that.

The TNA Knockouts Championship Match fell short of expectations for me. I am a huge Awesome Kong fan and she really didn't do as much as I hoped for. She had an insane spot where she missed a moonsaut which was awesome, but the finish sucked (that was def. a theme for the evening).

Finally, we come to by far the best match of the evening....Team 3-D vs. Beer Money Inc. Again, I was hoping they would really push the boundaries and take it into the street but they only made it as far as the concourse. There were some nice spots in this match, including two table spots (of course). The Bubba Bomb from the top rope was awesome. I still don't know how he still has a tail bone after all of those but I digress. The finish was fine with the 3D through the tables.

Now, the worst match of the evening. Team Jarrett vs. The Main Event Mafia. I was so pumped up for this match because of all the superstar power. AJ Styles had a sick spot when he fell through the top of the cage. That was pretty much it. Nash lasted about 30 seconds before he ducked in the corner the rest of the match. The finish was horrible!!!! We thought Jarrett might turn on his team but he hit angle with the guitar and Styles got the pin. Horrible.

Now, I am not a big Lashley fan. But, when he came out, the crowd, including myself went nuts. It was very unexpected.

The main event was again not great. It lasted about 10 minutes and didn't involve any even decent spots. The finish was the worst of the night with Foley and Sting both climbing over the cage with Foley landing first. The most suprising part was that Foley actually won the title.

After they went off the air, Team 3-D came out to celebrate with Foley and the fans and gave and nice speech regarding Philly as having the best wrestling fans in the world.

Overall, the show was not great at all but had some small bright spots. To be honest, I'm partial to WWE...However, my seats were great and free. So, I can't really complain. lol.

Thoughts on WWE Draft

Every year, the wwe decides to change it up and create new feuds to try and build a broader audience for each of the three shows. However, this year, it was clear that they are trying to build around raw since it is the top rated wwe show. Below are some thoughts on possible upcoming feuds/situations after the draft (Basically just shit that I would personally like to see).

RAW
Triple H (wwe champ) vs. Big Show

Yes, this has been done before, but unless Hunter turns heel, there isn't much else to do here. Both guys can work and have proven that. I think Orton will still become champ. very soon but besides him, there aren't really too many main event heels on raw.

Primo and Carlito (unified tag team champs.) vs. Legacy

I think its just a matter of time before Legacy regains the tag team titles. To me, they have the most upside of any tag team in the biz. It also gives the Legacy faction more credibility, especially when Orton takes the title.

John Cena will drop the title soon

I believe and I truly hope that Cena drops the title soon. He aint moving to smackdown and they wont have both titles on the same show. Look for CM Punk to have some say in bringing the title back to Smackdown with is MIB contract. Also, Edge will be involved here some how.

MVP (US Champ.) vs. The Miz

Splitting up this tag team was one of the best decisions the wwe has made in a long time. Both can hold their own as singles superstars and both will soon make an impact. I def. like the way the Miz is improving and I think these two will have a nice feud.

Matt Hardy will compete for a major title

I like Matt Hardy a lot and I think he could possibly enter a major title hunt. I don't think he is a great heel but is good enough for now.

Others to make impact on show
Batista
Evan Bourne
Kofi Kingston
Shawn Michaels
The Brian Kendrick (hopefully not jobbing)
Mr. Kennedy (if he can stay healthy)

Smackdown
CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho
These two haven't really matched up before but I think it can be very successful. Chris Jericho is prob. the best superstar in the wwe and anything he touches turns to gold. Punk, although I think it was a mistake not to give Christian the briefcase, will prob. end up winning a major title in 2009 unless the wwe throws a curveball and has him lose the briefcase in a match like they did with Kennedy.

Edge vs. Christian???
I would die a happy wrestling fan if these two feuded. I absolutely love both of them and I hope Christian is wearing a major title on his waist sometime soon, hopefully not the ecw title.

Rey Mysterio (intercontinental champ.) vs. John Morrision
Again, they split up this tag team for a reason. There is no doubt that Morrison can flat out wrestle, but, his mic skills need some serious work. I would love to see this feud but not if morrision isn't ready to become a true singles heel.

Others to make impact on show
The Undertaker
Jeff Hardy
Shelton Benjamin
Kane
Mike Knox

ECW
Jack Swagger (ecw champ) vs. Christian
It's kind of inevitable isn't it? I like both of them but since there is no one else on this god-foresaken show, they have no choice. Although I like for Evan Bourne to win a title soon.

Others to make impact on show
Vladimir Kozlov (hope he gets fired soon)
Evan Bourne
Findlay
Hurricane Helms

April Fools Joke or Major WWE Screw Up?

Many wrestling sources released a story today touting that the wwe posted a picture of a new undertaker t-shirt giving up the match result at this Sunday's Wrestlemania. The shirt reads 17-0 with undertaker's cross peircing a heart (heart-break kid). Although, the wwe quickly removed this picture from it's website, one can only wonder if it was indeed another april fools joke, a way for the wwe to throw the fans off, or a really horrible screw-up by the WWE.

Stone Cold and Batista Making Appearances at Wrestlemania???

There is a lot of buzz right now about whether or not both Stone Cold and Batista will be used in Wrestlemania somehow. I believe they both will be used in some capacity.

I believe that Stone Cold will not be wrestling at mania but will be a special guest referee for the Michaels/Taker match. The reason I think he will be used in this match is because I think Batista will make an appearance during the HHH/Orton match, seeking revenge on Orton for punting him in the head. I don't think they will be involved in the same match. There would be too much chaos considering how they are both major faces. Reports have come out that Batista has been training fairly heavily and don't be suprised if he actually wrestles at mania. Remember how the WWE elongated John Cena's injury only to see him make a triumphant return three months later at the Royal Rumble. We shall see what happens.

Another possible scenario is that Austin will be the special guest referee sent in by Vince McMahon to keep Orton in check and Batista doesn't show up at all. It would be very cliche for Batista to return at mania and the WWE has been desperately trying to suprise people, especially after Christian returned to ECW of all places.

Anyway, these are just some thoughts conceived from buzz on the internet. I would love to hear feedback on this and anything I right. I love to hear from the real fans out there.

Until next time...

RIP Andrew "Test" Martin

PWInsider.com is reporting this morning that former WWE star Andrew "Test" Martin was found dead in his apartment in Tampa, Florida at the age of 33, just four days shy of his 34th birthday. We don't have much in the way of details at this time. Tampa area authorities have declined to officially confirm it is Martin they found but word within the industry has been widespread the last few hours.

Check back to PWR today and we'll keep the info coming.

Very sad news if it's true....

Update:

At approximately 8:00pm on Friday, March 13, 2009, Tampa Police Officers responded to the Post Harbour Apartments, located at 725 Harbour Place Drive to check on the welfare of Mr. Andrew J. Martin. A neighbor reported that she could see into his apartment through a window and that Mr. Martin appeared motionless for several hours.

Officers entered the apartment and discovered Mr. Martin to be deceased. At this time there is no indication of foul play. The deceased was transported to the Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The date of the autopsy is undetermined at this time. The next of kin has been notified of the death.

New Wrestlemania Matches Announced

Edge (world heavyweight champ.) vs. Big Show vs. John Cena
This should actually be an interesting match to watch. Edge and Show are pound-for-pound two of the best workers and Cena is well....uh...not. With the cheating angle with Vickie and Show now thrown into the mix, it should give the match some nice heat and actually make Cena look even more over in this match. Unfortunately for all those Cena haters, it looks like Cena might be in for another title reign. Don't be suprised if the ending comes down to Cena planting the "attitude adjustment" on Show.
Winner: John Cena (new world heavyweight champ)

MITB -- CM Punk vs. Kane vs. Mark Henry vs. Shelton Benjamin (us champ.) vs. MVP vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Christian vs. Finlay

Sorry to those who didn't know the last two participants but rajah.com leaked that this morning after tapings this week. I don't think there is any way that Christian will not be winning this match. I think he came back to wwe, making sure he was going to be a main eventer and that's what he will be. I don't think we'll see as many big spots as years past with all of the big men, but it probably won't dissapoint. I think the match will come down to Christian and Kane with Captain Charisma taking the briefcase.
Winner: Christian

Money In the Bank Ladder Match Turning into Heavyweight Battle?

With the additions of Kane and Mark Henry to this year's MITB at Wrestlemania, it's starting to shape up to be a different kind of match rather than the high-flying, fast-paced match we are all used to.

I'm starting to wonder who else the WWE might end up putting in this match...Big Daddy V???? I mean, come on. It's one thing to go into the ring every time and work a five minute match in which you barely have to move, but it's another thing to go to the biggest stage of them all and constantly try and please an audience that is dying for a backflip onto a ladder.

To me, having Mark Henry in this match makes absolutely no sense whatsoever!!!!! He flat out can't move in the ring like he used to. Most of his matches involve a guy who is much smaller, allowing that guy to do all the ring work.

The MITB match has become a cornerstone of Wrestlemania and fans expect nothing but the best and biggest spots of the night. Mark Henry can not and will not bring that to the table!

If the WWE wants to salvage this situation, they'll throw in guys like evan bourne, christian, and the brian kendrick into this match. Otherwise, I'm not sure what fans can expect from this bout.

Wrestlemania 25 unfolding

Last night on Raw, we found out that certain matches have already been made for Wrestlemania. None are really suprising considering what I posted a few weeks ago, but I wasn't completely right about my predictions. Here's what we know so far and below each match is predicted winner now that we know certain matches...

Triple H (wwe champ.) vs. Randy Orton -- This match was very predictable after the attacks on the McMahon family and will probably be a very good match. It prob. will be very slow and meticulous but will most likely be one of the best matches of the night. Look for the McMahon's and Legacy to be involved somehow.
Winner: Randy Orton (new wwe champ.)

Edge (world heavyweight champ) vs. Big Show -- This is a little suprising considering how they are both currently heels. It's prob. gonna be a battle over Vickie's affection, or atleast that's how the storyline will pan out. This match might suprise some people because Big Show can really work. In the end, I think Big Show will get screwed some how by Vickie.
Winner: Edge (still world heavyweight champ.)

Money In The Bank Ladder Match (CM Punk vs. Kane vs. 6 other participants) -- I truly thought there was no way that Mysterio wasn't gonna be in this match but I guess the WWE has different plans for him. Maybe him vs. knox at mania but Im not sold on Knox yet. He blew a lot of spots last night and his ring work was just really choppy. I think Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne, Mr. Kennedy, the Brian Kendrick, Christian, and either Dolph Ziggler/Hurricane Helms/R-Truth/Umaga (just trying to think out of the box here people) will be the final participant. I'm somewhat confident that Christian will prob. get a rematch for the ecw title at mania considering how good that last match was but it's still all up in the air at this point.
Winner : will predict winner after all participants are announced

HBK vs. Undertaker
Good matchup but very predictable in my sense. I think it might be the best match of the night only to see the streak continue...
Winner: Undertaker (17-0 at mania)

Keep checking back when more mania matches are announced.

Ken Shamrock Set to Face Bobby Lashley in MMA Fight

In a pretty shocking move, it's been announced that Roy Jones Jr.'s "March Badness" hybrid boxing and MMA show, that 2 former WWE stars will face off in an MMA match, as "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock will take on MMA newcomer Bobby Lashley. This is the very first time (to our knowledge) that 2 former WWE stars have faced off in MMA. Shamrock being a former WWE Intercontinental Champion, and Lashley most recently being the ECW Champion before leaving WWE. Lashley only recently made the transition from WWE to MMA, and easily won his MMA debut. Shamrock just fought a couple of weeks ago at the show "War Gods" which he promoted, and got his first win in a few years. Although Lashley is new to MMA, he may just be the favorite due to his size, skill, youth, etc. Shamrock is an MMA legend, but in his mid 40's, Lashley will be coming at him full force, maybe even more than Kimbo Slice would have in the scheduled Shamrock vs. Slice fight that ended up not happening. Dana White has said that he has no interest in Lashley coming to MMA, and doesn't think Brock Lesnar's success can be captured by another wrestler, but if Lashley scores a win over Shamrock, people will notice, and doors will be opened for Lashley, and he would no doubt be on to bigger and better things. It may be premature to think about now, but could a huge Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley showdown for the UFC Heavyweight title be happening in the future? Lashley's first big recognition will depend on this Shamrock fight at "March Badness" on March 21.

The WWE Videographer Experience

The WWE has made their website that much more fan friendly with the creation of a new video editing program called "smash ups". It gives the fans an opportunity to create any kind of wwe video they would like using video clips, photos, entrance themes, and music.

Below is the link to my first video. It is a take on the upcoming Triple H vs. Randy Orton feud for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania. Enjoy! The video will play after an advertisement.

Its Getting Close to April 5

With Wrestlemania 25 vast approaching, everyone is speculating the card and how effective it might be compared to other manias. Below are my predicted matches and the effectiveness of the feud. Remember, these are just speculative and could be wrong.

Triple H (wwe champion) vs. Randy Orton
With last night's Raw ending the way it did, it seems like we found the answers to two very important questions...Which champion will switch brands and who will Randy Orton get his title shot against? Well, when Triple H made his way down that ramp to try and help Stephanie (his wife, which I also believe will be revealed as a major role in the storyline) and clearly showed his anger towards Orton for punting her in the head, we found out that these two will feud.

Thoughts: I think it will be interesting to see how the wwe handles the husband and wife situation with Hunter and Steph. All true wrestling fans know they are married outside the show, but it hasn't been addressed since 2002 after the McMahon-Helmsley regime which ended in an on-air divorce. Randy Orton is clearly the number one heal in the biz right now which allows his feud with one of the biggest faces in the game (no pun intended) to be credible. I think the match itself will be very methodical and slow-paced but will also tell a story. Don't be suprised if Orton walks out of mania with the title either.

Shawn Michaels vs. Untertaker (16-0 streak on the line)
Even though there is a match on raw next week between Michaels and JBL for the right to face the Undertaker at mania, the wwe wants to make the match as credible as possible meaning they want people to actually believe the undertaker will lose. Therefore, Michaels is clearly the candidate that will be able to accomplish this.

Thoughts: I think this match will show just how good of workers HBK and taker really are. Sure they are both over 40, but they can both still bring it and will bring it for this match. Sorry to all the Michaels fans out there, but taker will win cleanly to maintain his perfect mania record.

Edge (world heavyweight champ.) vs. John Cena vs. Batista
As much as I don't want to see this match happen, it very well could. I'm not sure if Batista will be ready for mania but if he is, I think this will be the matchup. This past monday on Raw we saw a very heated battle of words between cena and edge possibly setting up this feud. Batista fits nicely into the situation because he has beef with both guys. It also gives edge yet another golden opportunity to weasel his way out of mania with the title.

Thoughts: I truly think Edge is the best worker in the business today, flat out. This match could lag because of the fact that he's working with two of the most criticized wrestlers in the wwe. I think Edge will win after one of the other two hits a finisher on the other or something like that.

Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy
This match is obvious because of what happened at the rumble. Although most thought Christian would be involved in this angle, he isn't and I think it's for the best at the moment. These two have only faced off once and it was for the hardcore title back in 2001 when they were both faces and neither were in the spotlight. This time will be different and I truly believe that this match will steal the show.

Thoughts: There is no way and I mean NO WAY that the wwe will put Matt over in this match. Jeff will win clean after a very hard-fought match which will prove just how good these two really are in the ring.

Money in the bank ladder match (evan bourne vs. kofi kingston vs. rey mysterio vs. the brian kendrick vs. shelton benjamin vs. mvp)
While I am def. not sure of the participants, there will definitely be a money in the bank ladder match. It is always exciting and full of high-flying fun with lots of intensity and crazy spots.

Thoughts: I think mysterio probably wins this one with evan bourne or mvp in a close second. mysterio can no doubt work and once again proved it at no way out against edge. After just signing a mult-year extention, I think a mysterio title run isn't far off but don't count out bourne or mvp because they are very over right now.

Right now, those are the only matches that I feel comfortable in saying that they will happen. However also look for these possibilities...

-Chris Jericho vs. Mickey Rourke (with Rick Flair, maybe as special guest ref.)
-Miz and Morrison (world tag team champs) vs. Primo and Carlito (wwe tag team champs)
-Jack Swagger (ecw champ) vs. Christian
-some sort of divas battle royal
-Beth Phoenix vs. Trish Stratus
-there has been some talk that austin will wrestle but i doubt it. He's too banged up.

That is all for now but feel free to chat and comment. I love feedback.

Chris Jericho Hit a Fan, and It Was Good

Chris Jericho lit a media fire over the weekend, over an incident that happened after a show in British Columbia over the weekend. Apparently, Jericho was trying to leave, and there was a crowd of fans watching, as is the norm at many arenas around the world, only this time, the fans got a little out of control, deciding to try and get tough with Jericho by talking too much shit, and hitting his car etc. Jericho was blocked at a stop sign, and when he got out to set things straight, some crazy bitch decided to push him and act all crazy, so Jericho knocked her ass out, haha. Yeah, think Shawn Michaels wife getting punched in the face times 5. Now Jericho was definitely provoked, so hopefully the right people will be in trouble here, but wow, when was the last time something like THIS happened? By today's standards in the wrestling world, I would have said that Chris Jericho would've gotten out of the car, and said "Hey guys, don't be mean, I'm just a bad guy for show, and all i want to do is entertain you, it's all an act." But thankfully, Chris Jericho took it old school, and showed crazy fans like these, that wrestlers are not to be F'd with, and if you try, you will have your ass handed to you, no matter if you're in a mob or not, wrestlers can handle their business believe it or not, and many wrestlers have been called more tough than athletes in other sports. I think one comment heard in the video sums it up best, a female says "I didn't know he was an ass in real life!"...and that best sums it up. In the good old days of wrestling, you KNEW guys were tough, you KNEW who was a prick, there was no question. Did anyone think Abdullah the Butcher or Bruiser Brody were acting and really just plain old guys? Uh, no, you would fear the thought of approaching them, thinking you'd get mauled and end up a bloody mess. Did anyone think Ric Flair was lying about his Rolex watches, and cars, and limos? Nope, you knew Flair was the real deal. Nowadays, there isn't a whole lot to believe in with wrestling, but thanks to Chris Jericho, there will be a few people out there who boo him because they truly he's an asshole, and the best emotion in wrestling is real emotion, and incidents like this bring the real emotion, and even a little bit of respect back to the business, so we say thank you Mr. Jericho, for showing the moron fans who take it too far, just how REAL the business can be. Apparently the jackass girl and her man were arrested, but released, and no charges have been filed yet, sadly they haven't got what they deserve....yet.

Matt Hardy No Longer Belongs in WWE

I'm sure anyone who reads this headline will think "Oh another blog about Matt Hardy's dastardly turn on his brother Jeff at the Royal Rumble," well, yes and no. Matt's turn on Jeff at the Royal Rumble was great, everyone on the net just KNEW Christian would be the one helping Edge out, and we've reported on this site how it's great that WWE went with the swerve. Well then, something else happened, the angle was so good, the Matt Hardy fans lost it, and attacked Matt on his Myspace, and drew a lot of attention on the net from various sites reporting how Matt pissed off a lot of people and his die hard fans were eating this angle up. But then, all this build up, all this hype surrounding what could be Hardy vs. Hardy at Wrestlemania, was all brought down and just about killed. As reported earlier today on our partner site DevonLohan.com, Matt Hardy got mad people were believing it and exposed the whole thing as fake. Now, we know a lot of you out there know the score, you know wrestling is entertainment, etc. BUT, as evident on Hardy's site, there ARE people out there that A. want to suspend their belief and just feel the real emotion of the situation, or B. they just totally believe what they're seeing, and enjoy every minute of it. Yes, those people are STILL out there. But as reported by Random Villain on the other site, Matt Hardy went on his Myspace, and told the world that he loves Jeff, it was all just for show, and was just doing his job as part of the "storyline." WOW, really? Matt Hardy has the hottest angle in WWE, then shoots it down by letting everyone know they shouldn't get TOO involved, because none of it's real.....WOW. I officially have to agree with comments made by Eric Bischoff a few weeks back about Matt Hardy, he is mid card talent, and has no respect for the business. What an idiot. Seriously, he threatened to take people off his Myspace friends if they took it too far, WOW. I can't get over the blatant disrespect to the business, and this guy being that stupid as to not realize that the more mad people are, the more they'll watch, and the more money he'll make. But this loser deflated the whole thing, and once again, screws up his main event chances, just like he did a few years back when he had the hot angle with Edge, until he was given a microphone, and gave the corniest, little bitch boy interview ever, deflating THAT angle, and making sure no one could get behind his whiny ass in the story. Well this is it, Jeff will now kick his ass, and after that, Matt can go have a mid-card feud with more mid-card talents just like he did back then. Hopefully the Hardy's just wrestler at No Way Out, and that is the end of it. I was ready to see a monumental classic at Wrestlemania 25 with Hardy vs. Hardy, but now i just hope this "fake feud" ends as soon as possible.....thanks Matt, the touch of old school magic that was just starting to show, was surely put to rest thanks to you.

Suck It Spoiler Fanatics

This is a post for all you so called "smart marks" out there. I just wanted to write and say ,"hahahahahahahahahahahaha" to all of you. I heard so many of you say "Christian is the one who is attacking Jeff Hardy. He is going to be at the Royal Rumble. It's confirmed, it's not a rumor." In a day when the internet wrestling community is trying to destroy the mystery and surprises that made me become a huge wrestling fan, I will take every opportunity possible to rag on all of you who think you are in the know or have some special kind of source that the other two million wrestling fans don't have. When Matt came out with the chair,I said to my friend'" Please let him hit Jeff.....Please!" When it happened it was a great moment for me as a fan. I believe it is the beginning of a really great feud. I also felt like it was a statement by the WWE that Mcmahon( not to mention a lot of fans) is getting tired of internet rumor rubbish. I was actually going to be disappointed last night if the attacker turned out to be just Christain simply because I have read it online for the past month. I hope this is an indication as to how unpredictable the road to Wrestlemania is going to be. If Vince has some guys working for him that can simply look online and see what everyone is saying is going to happen and then do something else, the internet won't destroy wrestling like some say it will.

Hardy as champion, HBK/ JBL storyline

Hello wrestling fans and haters. I hope everyone had a good Christmas and a joyful New Year. I just wanted to touch on the two major storylines developing on Raw and Smackdown. Since my last post, Jeff Hardy finally did it. He became WWE Champion after nearly two years of fans screaming for it to happen. I personally thought it was done very well and am extremely pleased to see the most popular face on the show actually win. I wanted WWE to wait and save the culmination of a Hardy/Edge fued for Wrestlemania 25 after Hardy won the Royal Rumble but they can make this work too. I do like how they have instantly threw him into a contreversial storyline with some unknown attacker apparently trying to take him out. Now I know many of us have a good idea of who this assailant is going to turn out to be but this is a really intriguing way of bringing him back. It also makes me believe that this time around the WWE is going to push him as a main event guy instead of a mid carder like last time he was here. For you fans who don't know who I am talking about here, just scroll down and read. I personally don't like giving out spoilers but some do. I have nothing against those who do it's just not my thing. Back to the subject though. There are so many angles they can begin of off this and I am intersted to see where it all goes. Now for the Raw HBK/JBL storyline. I will be honest with you guys-at first i thought this was a pile of trash. Are we supposed to sit here and just accept that one of the biggest stars in wrestling history(Shawn Michaels) is broke? When I first seen this one developing I felt insulted as a wrestling fan. But now after a few weeks of it I have drawn a different conclusion. JBL is still a great heel and HBK is 1 of the best in-ring actors of all time. They have actually managed to make this thing an amazing story! Every week I find myself wondering if this will be the week that HBK will finally stand up to Layfield or will this be the week he turns heel and tells all the fans he cares more about money than he does them. It's the main thing I watch Raw for now. I have came close at times to forgetting who the champion even was ever since SuperCena won it back but this keeps me watching. Keep it up WWE. This is why I watch-storylines that have a big payoff in the end (Hardy soryline) and storylines that keep fans emotionally involved( HBK/JBL storyline).

WWE's New Show with WGN

WWE has announced a new Two year contract with WGN America for its newest TV Show 'WWE Superstars' The show its self will not feature any recapping moments from all three brands, and will only feature WWE superstars that were popular at one time eg D-Lo Brown, Ricky Ortiz, Goldust, Jamie Noble and are now struggling to get onto the main card on the Three brands.

I feel this is almost a slap in the face to these superstars that were big in independant Wrestling orginisations or big in the WWE/WCW or ECW, a few years back. The hours they are hoping to air the show will come into conflict with Spikes Total Nonstop action wrestling(TNA) as the new wwe show will air and hour before and straight after tna goes off the air.

I believe this is Vinces attempt at getting to TNA, and with tna growing in popularity all round the world including the UK and Japan, i feel that this is vinces way of trying to bring in more veiwers.

Maybe because his other 6 shows arent pulling the veiwers like they used to?

WWE/TNA Angles getting sick?

To introduce Christian Cage to his new WWE contract, its rumoured that theres going to be an angle involing WWE Chamion/Ex TNA superstar Jeff hardy and his fiancee in which both of them are supposed to be part of a hit and run automoblile accident in jeffs home townand has been said they may reveal Christian as the driver, the angle will show jeff to make a recovery but his fiancee will be seriously injured, it has also been rumoured that Christian has been spotted around The RAW arena during the tapings,

If this is shown to be the storyline i would lose alot of respect for Chrisitan and the WWE, but i have always felt that storylines in both WWE and TNA were always a Bit outlandish and absurd, Take Kane and Triple H's Fued in 2002, When Triple H reveald Kane comittited necrophilia on a a girl called Katie Vick, Or in TNA when It showed Abyss's manager James Mitchell was rele his father and abyss had shot him in the back several times.

I would love to see wrestling storylines being brung back to simpler times but still have all the high flying hard hitting hardcore action we see today.
